Woodland bulb planting activity

2pm to 4pm Saturday 3rd November 2018 Nature Vibezzz ran a free activity in Knights Hill Wood. The session involved litter picking, outdoor play and planting woodland flowers.  Snowdrop, bluebell, daffodil bulbs and wood anemone rhizones was planted around the woodland glade area prepared on the last session. The glade area was first raked of leaves and then the bulbs and rhizones was planted by the children around the edge of the glade.

We also had a volunteer film maker come to the activity to film the session for the project film. The session finished with hot chocolate drink and a sausage and cheese snack cooked over a fire.

On our next session 2pm to 4pm Saturday 10th November wildflower seeds will be added to the woodland glade area, to make a lovely display and benefit local wildlife.
