Planting wildlife hedge in Knights Hill Wood

2pm to 4pm Saturday 1st December 2018 Nature Vibezzz ran a free family nature activity in Knights Hill Wood, West Norwood, Lameth.

The session started with children bug hunting, playing around the site, enjoying rope swing and colouring. Then the participants helped litter pick the site with 4 sacks of rubbish removed.

Follwing the litter picking the children helped plant a section of wildlife hedge around the boundary of the woodland site. The wildlife hedge which consists of native tree saplings will grow to benefit local wildlife, help reduce litter and help reduce pollution including reducing noise pollution from traffic.

The session finished with healthy snack and hot chocolate.

Nature Vibezzz will be back in Knights Hill Wood next week 2pm to 4pm Saturday 8th December 2018, this will be our last Saturday activity this year. The sessions will restart Saturday 19th January 2019.
