2pm to 4pm Saturday 29th September 2018 Nature Vibezzz ran a free family nature activity in Knights Hill Wood, West Norwood, Lambeth.
The session invloved pruning trees to increase light into the site, helping increase biodiversity through encouraging a wider range of plants to grow and help make the woodland feel more safe for users. The pruned material was used to continue to build a dead hedge which will protect a wildflower glade which will be prepared and planted on future sessions.
Activities for children included making animal masks, drawing, making signs, climbing rope, rope swing, bug hunting, litter picking, photography and free play around the woodland site. Many of the children also helped with the tree pruning working together under adult supervision. The activity finished with a healthy fruit snack.
Next week the task will be run in TIvoli Park with Friends of Tivoli Park
